A Photonics-Based Superheterodyne RF Reception Approach

نویسندگان

چکیده

A novel photonics-based RF reception approach is proposed as a competitive solution to meet the current challenges of approaches and realize high performances at same time. The adopts superheterodyne configuration by combination manner electronic techniques photonic techniques, including ultra-wideband generation optical LO, two-stage frequency conversion real-time IF compensation. An engineering prototype has been developed its performance evaluated in laboratory environment. experiment results preliminarily verify feasibility potential. typical are follows: 0.1 GHz ~ 45 operation spectrum range (> 40 GHz), 900 MHz instantaneous bandwidth, 101 dB·Hz2/3 SFDR 130 dB·Hz LDR, image rejections 80 dB for 1st > 90 2nd conversion.

An Enhanced HL-RF Method for the Computation of Structural Failure Probability Based On Relaxed Approach

The computation of structural failure probability is vital importance in the reliability analysis and may be carried out on the basis of the first-order reliability method using various mathematical iterative approaches such as Hasofer-Lind and Rackwitz-Fiessler (HL-RF). This method may not converge in complicated problems and nonlinear limit state functions, which usually shows itself in the f...

A Robust, Decentralized Approach to RF-Based Location Tracking

Wireless transmitters deployed throughout an indoor environment offer the opportunity for accurate location tracking of mobile users. Using radio signal information alone, it is possible to determine the location of a roaming node at close to meter-level accuracy. We are particularly concerned with applications in which the robustness of the locationtracking infrastructure is at stake. For exam...

A Mode Based Approach for Characterizing Rf Propagation in Conduits

We propose a mode based approach for developing a parametric model to characterize RF propagation in conduits. The model considers a conduit as a lossy waveguide and defines the total received power as the sum of powers excited in propagating modes. The model’s parameters are estimated from both the physical properties of the conduit material and an empirical data set. Underground conduits have...
